Thursday 15April 2010 Cycle Twelve, Day Fifteen, Treatment Three

Today was a much better day in the parking lot...... no near misses. took the nurse two (2) tries to get the IV started today. the Chemo drug only stung a little today not as bad as it has in the past. All in all it was a good day. Since we've up the dosage on the anti nausea medications I'm currently not vomiting every morning but I'm still a little queasy. Keep-Her and I are walking daily again, outdoors when the weather is dry----yeah I'm a fair weather walker---otherwise we walk on the treadmill for an hour every morning.

Thursday 08April 2010 Cycle Twelve, Day Eight, Treatment Two

My appointment was for 11:00 AM today. As we pulled into the parking lot and about to pull into a parking spot a large 4x 4 extend cab pick up came barreling up and almost hit us, on the passenger side front door. Barely missed us if my driver had not been fast on the break. Guess what that did to my blood pressure today-----oh yeah thru the roof.

took first nurse only one try to get in today. YEAH!!! the Chemo drug stung going in, but thank goodness for hot packs. otherwise it was an uneventful trip to chemo today.

Thursday 01April 2010 Cycle Twelve, Day One, Treatment ONE

NEVER EVER go to the DR on April Fools day!!!!!

It can never be a good thing. It was two years ago on April fools when I had my mammogram that started off this whole mess.

I had another CT Scan done on Friday 26 March 2010 and the report came back same ole thing. the primary tumor has neither grown nor shrunk any more. It seems to be holding it's own and is status quo.

So on we go with more of the same.

Thursday 18 March 2010 Cycle Eleven, Day Fifteen, Treatment THREE

Well today was a nice quite uneventful Date with Baxter (my Chemotherapy medication pump friend) only took one nurse one try to get the IV started.

My allergies are acting up big time---I'm hoping that they wont interfere with my treatments again this year like they did last year.

I'm so tired all the time, it seems that the further along I go in treatment the more tired I get. Seems like I sleep more than I'm awake these days.

Thursday 04 March 2010 Cycle Eleven, Day One, Treatment ONE

well it was one heluva day for sure.
my DR appt was for 1:30 we got there early and were seen on time by the Doctor. then we checked in for Chemo and sat there for almost an hour waiting and waiting and waiting----finally one of the Chemo nurses came in and said did you check in ---I looked at my watch and said almost an hour ago----then jokingly I said it was the receptionist fault (turns out it was). Fortunately the Chemo gals all know me, had seen me sitting there and checked into it. Shortly after that, they came and took me back. took two nurses three tires to get in ----- boy am I going to be black and blue for a while. then 15 min (not 30 like it is supposed to be) after I'd been given my Steroids medication, they wanted to hang my Chemo drug and I said NO----the gal in the chair next to me backed me up on that one (giggle). so then my nurse asked me to watch the clock for her and I said OK----knowing full good and well that my alarm would go off when it was time due to the fact that's when my next bottle of water was due to be drank .. Other than a little burning sensation after that everything went according to plan. Didn't get out of there till about 5PM that means it most definitely takes an hour to get home.
